With the technical supervision of Solum Rammed Earth and artistic direction of Geert Maas, volunteers from Kelowna formed and rammed these walls. This was a very unique application for rammed earth and it was an amazing experience for us to be a part of.

Insulated rammed earth walls envelope this 3500 sq ft rancher. Rammed earth overfills on all 19 openings are a key feature which sets this rammed earth house apart. Advanced mix design resulted in lower cement content and the inclusion of fly-ash in the mix while maintaining high compressive strengths.
